Religious Affairs Department

The Department is headed by a Director of Religious Affairs - Rev. Can. Aaron Mwesigye.

Core Functions:

1. Coordination of Government engagement with Religious and Faith Organizations to promote responsible and accountable conduct and provide periodic report to Government.
2. Maintaining a database of Religious and Faith Organizations for effective monitoring of their operations.
4. Recommendation of Religious and Faith Organizations seeking registration in Uganda
5. Collaboratively implementing programmes to strengthen participation of Religious and Faith Organizations in national development.
